One player. One plan.

I'm Andrew Gosnell, known as Gos to most. I am a UEFA B Licence Coach, hold a 1st Class Masters Degree in Sports Coaching and Development and worked in primary schools as a community coach for 4 years.

Using this knowledge and experience I coach players one-to-one, alongside their club and extracurricular football activities, with a focus on each individual player.

About me

Coaching on the Island for 16 years

I've coached football on the Isle of Man at just about every level, from under-6s at Laxey and Douglas and District to first-team football at FC Isle of Man. In 2014 I was named Isle of Man Coach of the Year and North West of England Grassroots Football Coach of the Year.

These days I teach sports coaching and development to further and higher education students, with most current young coaches at clubs and extracurricular clubs coming through these courses.

Alongside your club, not instead of it

The Island already has plenty of great clubs offering football. This is furthered by private companies offering fantastic coaching sessions and camps.

ASG Coaching 1-2-1 sessions are there to complement what is already on island, not to replace or compete with it. Your player gets individual attention and something specific to take back into club training and matches.

How it starts

  1. Free consultation Get in touch by email or Facebook and we'll arrange a chat about your player, what they enjoy and what they want to improve.
  2. Agree the plan We agree the right option for your player. There's no obligation.
  3. Sessions begin Up to 50 minutes each, planned around the player.

Extra Time by ASG Coaching

Local businesses helping young players

Extra Time is a scheme where local businesses help fund places for young players on the Island. Every player gets the same coach, the same session and books the same way.

Questions

How long are sessions?

Up to 50 minutes, one-to-one.

Where are sessions held?

Sessions are held outdoors at a venue agreed with you. If you'd prefer to train indoors, for example in winter, I can book an indoor venue. The hire cost is added to the session price, and you'll know the exact amount before anything is booked.

Can you guarantee trials or academy places?

No. No coach can, and I won't pretend otherwise. The focus is your player's development.

How do I book?

Get in touch by email or a Facebook message, starting with a free consultation. There's no online booking system.

Is the consultation free?

Yes. It's a conversation with me, the person who will coach your player, and there's no obligation.
